steepleThose of you who are ever-vigilant–and you know who you are!–have noticed that the hands on one of the tower clock faces were going nowhere fast.  Well, thanks to the intervention of our clock-keeper, Todd Keneagy, with the willing and generous assistance of the good folks at McCann Fabrication, tempus fugit once more.

The clock was a gift from Deacon Nelson Valentine, in 1895.  The installation of the George Stevens clock (same name, no relation to the maker of our organ) coincided with the Victorian renovation of the sanctuary, which included the installation of leaded-glass windows, curved pews, and a curved chancel platform, the moving of the organ to the front, and carpet.
