What is 250 years?

In 2015, we are going to be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the founding of our church. According to Wikipedia, a 250th anniversary is called the SESTERCENTENNIAL. Here’s why…follow me now…the number 2½ is expressed in Latin as “half-three”. In Latin this is “Sestertius” which is a contraction of semis (halfway) tertius (third) – hence Sestercentennial (21/2 x 100).

WHAT IS 250 YEARS?

You can call it the SESTERCENTENNIAL, if you want.

We call it A GOOD START.
