Praise and glory to God!
In the temple, give glory to God!
In the heavens, give glory to God!
For mighty acts of power, give glory to God!
For God’s very being – greatness beyond words – give glory to God!
With the trumpet, the lute, and the harp, give praise to the Lord!
With tambourines and dancing, give praise to the Lord!
With the clash of loud cymbals, give praise to the Lord!
Let everything that has breath give praise to the Lord!
— Psalm 150:1-6
The multi-talented John Terison serves as our director of music, and he and the church invite members and friends to make music with us, on any instrument and any skill level.
The church also hosts numerous musical events, including the monthly Village Coffeehouse and seasonal concerts from the Freeport Community Band and the Coastal Winds Concert Band.

Sanctuary Choir
The church choir sings an anthem at Sunday worship. It rehearses on Wednesdays at 7 pm and all are welcome. The church choir rehearses and sings at worship from September through June. The July and August pick-up choir meets a few minutes before the service to learn the day’s piece. All are welcome.

Handbell Choir
The church is fortunate to have — and to regularly play — a complete five-octave set of handbells, some of which were donated by retired pastor Linda Gard in honor of her mother. The handbell choir meets at 6 pm on Wednesdays and performs during services several times a year. There is no handbell practice in July and August.

Music Sunday
During Music Sunday, one of the Sunday services is given over to the sanctuary choir, the handbell choir, and other musical congregants who perform several pieces throughout the service. Music Sunday typically — but not only — happens in June.
